39 Weeks Pregnancy Update – I’m giving an update on Week 39 of my pregnancy!
39 Weeks Pregnancy Update
Hi Everyone, I’m giving an update on week 39 of my pregnancy. I am at full term with this pregnancy and now it’s just a waiting game to see when she’s going to be here.
As quoted from my @preppyroots IG account:
🤰🏻Guess what? We made it to the 1st day of #39weekspregnant 🙌 No real or many Braxton Hicks contractions yet, so she’s pretty comfy in there; it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds, I thought she would come early like my son and my daughter was early/right on time but @6ratrod was saying maybe we have a Goldilocks situation and this one might be late. We still have 5/6 days until the actual due date, although I’ve never given birth on the actual due date. Every day I feel much more pregnant than the day before.. #countingdownthedays #3rdbabyontheway
Pregnancy Symptoms & Some Thoughts
So what symptoms am I feeling? Well, I drool sometimes, oh those pregnancy hormones! I am tired a lot more. I usually have energy in the morning and then I am toast in the afternoon.
In general, I feel like my girls were easier to carry than my son. With this pregnancy, I haven’t felt sciatica as much or as bad as when I carried my son. While I am really, really pregnant right now, this pregnancy is easier in general than my sons. The midwives said that this girl will most likely be closer in size to my first, my daughter than my son.
I really hope my pelvis doesn’t split like it did when I had my son. Fingers crossed!

She’s been head down which I am grateful for; she’s in the perfect position for giving birth. My belly dropped about a week or more ago, so I am not as out of breath as I was before.
I got a couple nosebleeds this weekend which was weird, it could just be hormones or allergies or the change in weather…
I have pregnancy insomnia at times which is pretty typical for me…
I am craving Chinese take out food. That would be so good right now, crab rangoon, beef and broccoli, beef and tomato over rice anything along those lines…pregnancy cravings are real..
I’ve been trying my best to relax when I can. There’s certainly a lot going on right now between the pandemic, having to homeschooling my kiddos and what’s going on in the news. Not to mention we were without power all day Sunday (I’m publishing this on 6/1/20 but post-dating this for 5/28/20 for consistency with the other pregnancy updates) – that was pretty brutal. It came back though! I love the weather lately, I hope it keeps up like this.
I picked up my sons preschool items today which was a little bittersweet, they made a cute goodie bag for him for the Summer which was super sweet. It just kinda makes the current pandemic reality more real.
I’ve been just trying to help my daughter with her year end assignments so we can finish up strong in time for Summer break. I honestly don’t mind not having to go anywhere or even cancelled camps. I just want everyone to be healthy and safe. We can make due with being at home and spend time together as a family. We’ve had so many great times here during the pandemic and so there’s much good to come out of this too. I am an optimist.
I wonder if I will be making a 40 Weeks Pregnancy Update post or if I will deliver before then? We shall see!
As far as recipe posting goes right now, I am trying to keep up but I have a lot on my plate right now. I have tons of recipes and content ready to go which I usually preview on my blog’s Instagram stories (you can follow me there @lifeslittlesweets) . We have a guest post by our wonderful intern Carly planned around my baby’s due date coming up, so stay tuned for that. I’ve been sending out the e-mail list 1-2 times per month with about 8 new posts in each e-mail, if you want to get on the list, you can sign up on the blog’s home page to stay up to date on all the newest posts.
