Baby’s Gender Announcement. Our family has a *special* announcement…30 photos including an ultrasound of the baby!
Baby’s Gender Announcement
Hi Everyone, our family, Eric, Margo and I, have a special announcement about our new little one…check out the pictures to find out what our new baby’s gender is…
When these photos were taken, I was 25 weeks and 6 days, now I am 26 weeks pregnant.
Did you see our Pregnancy Announcement? If you didn’t, you can check it out here.
Special thanks to our visiting French cousin Lucile for taking these photos at our home 🙂
I found these awesome metallic balloons on Etsy, we promised Margo that she could have them for her room 🙂
I have another upcoming ultrasound in August and the baby is due October 5th, 2017 🙂
This Summer is going by very fast and it only started; it feels like the time is running out as we get closer to the due date.
I am grateful for some of the cool weather we have been experiencing in this part of the country (knock on wood).
I couldn’t help but include all these photos…:)
According to my pregnancy app, at 26 weeks, the baby is the size of an eggplant, 9.2 inches, 2 lbs. and my uterus is the size of a soccer ball (woo!) and by the way, it really feels like I have a soccer ball in me and I am round like a soccer ball.
And there’s only 14 weeks left! That seems like such a short amount of time. When I was pregnant with Margo, it seemed like I was pregnant for 2 years but this baby’s pregnancy has blown by, probably because I am chasing Margo the whole time and staying occupied 🙂
It’s a Boy!
People we see everyday already know because I am not good at keeping secrets, some have already guessed but we have known for a while now because at 10 weeks, when you are over 35 they test you. Although, I didn’t realize have the results until a few weeks later. Baby brain!
Here’s the thing that’s profound about having a boy for me personally. We don’t have any boys in my immediate family, on my side. My parents had 2 girls (my sister and I), my sister has 3 girls, my first child is a girl, so what a surprise to have a boy after all the girls. Pretty cool.
Eric and I were fully prepared for a girl, we have all the stuff, our first is a girl, we fully expected another girl…
We would have been happy with whichever gender the baby would be – honestly. After going through the process of having a child, we learned that it doesn’t matter, not one wit, what the gender is. What matters is that the baby is healthy and happy.
Interestingly enough, back in 2004, the only time I ever went to a fortune teller, in NYC, just for fun, she told me that I would have a girl and a boy. I don’t take too much stock in those predictions but it’s kinda funny to see it come true.
We wonder if the baby will look more like me or like Eric or just like us both.
I love this photo of Eric and I below, I think it’s cute. I think while this photo was being taken, Margo was pouting because she wanted to hold one of the balloons, she got her chance.
We have a short list of names but that is one thing we will keep tight-lipped about until he arrives. We have to meet him first to be sure about the name.
We refer to the new baby as “baby boy” right now.
We are excited for our new addition to our family 🙂
And here he is below! This is an ultrasound photo of “Baby Boy” from my May 18th anatomy scan. I think he looks like Eric from his profile, what do you think?
