Marc turns 1 – sharing some photos of our little guy as he turns 1!
Marc turns 1
Hi Everyone, this week we are celebrating our little Marc turning 1! Turning 1 is such a big milestone and this past year seems like it has flown by. It feels like Marc’s first year has gone by faster than Margo’s, perhaps because Marc grew so fast? He got out of that “newborn” stage so early, it seems – at least to me!
By the way, I totally realize that the sign should say, “1 Year Old” not “1 Years Old” but, oh well, we got a smiling photo between naps, so I am happy!
Marc is in 24 months/2T size clothing, eating like a champ (all different foods), he’s about 25 lbs., crawling fast, cruising well, knows how to climb up stairs, standing up and so, so close to walking. He still naps twice a day and sometimes skips a nap. He sleeps well through the night, sometimes waking up looking to cuddle with one us – which we are fine with because he’s like a cuddly bear. He has fun playing and interacting with his sister, they laugh at each other and are each other’s buddies. He babbles, says “Ma-ma” and “Da-da” and seems to refer to Margo as “Ma.”
Marc is a joy to be around and is so mellow and easy going.
He has a big laugh and a when he smiles he has a big dimple on his cheek. We love his big belly laughs.
I can’t believe that he will be a toddler soon. When babies are young, you think it will last forever during that time and they just grow up so fast.
It’s been sweet seeing Margo get ready for his birthday, working on a card, helping bake his cake – she’s excited for him 🙂
One thing the kids like to do with each other is making raspberry sounds back and forth, often in the back seat when I am driving. It’s hilarious and can go on for quite some time.
We are looking forward to our 2nd holiday season with him, starting with Halloween, last year he was just a newborn, this year he can join in celebrating the holidays a bit more 🙂
Margo helped me bake his birthday cake, a small, 2-tiered, banana bread cake with a cream cheese frosting (naturally sweet with all natural sprinkles, of course!), I hope to share it soon on the blog. I shared a peek of it on my Instagram stories.
We love our sweet Marc, Happy Birthday Marc! We love you!
