September Garden Update
Hi Everyone, I haven't done a garden update since May; I can't believe it's been that long.
Well, it's still Summer, until September 22nd, and this first year with the garden has been great.
I've been harvesting herbs (mostly) and now tomatoes, eggplants, and pumpkins.
What has been coming out of the garden has inspired many recipes that I have posted over the Summer (and many more to come!).
I was traveling a lot over the Summer while we hosted our French cousin, Lucile, for 3 months and I had to put my updates on a hiatus and just prioritize recipes.
Now that we are in the back-to-school mode for our daughter, M., and I am hunkering down before our new baby is born in early October, I will be getting back to these regular series that I enjoy posting.
Also, I will be posting a kitchen renovation update soon too.
Please enjoy some recent pictures of what we have been growing in the garden with my commentary below:
I have been enjoying cooking with all the fresh herbs coming out of the garden - it is mostly an herb garden.
Next year, I would love to do berries and more veggies.
I think I am done planting new plants in the garden for 2017.
I will just harvest and enjoy all that I've planted - there's plenty to keep me busy.
If you have a garden, what are you harvesting now?
Please let me know in the comments below!
