Chocolate Lava Cakes

Chocolate Lava Cakes are self-saucing, warm, sweet, chocolate-y dessert. It's easy to make for any night of the week, yet so elegant for special occasions.

  1. Preheat the oven to 435 degrees F.
  2. Grease 4 ramekins and place on a baking half sheet.
  3. Chop both kinds of chocolate.
  4. In a medium-large mixing bowl, microwave both kinds of chocolates and the unsalted butter in 30 second intervals, stirring in between. Stir the chocolate-butter mixture until smooth. Chocolate Lava Cakes
  5. Add the confectioner's sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Add the vanilla extract and stir to combine. Gradually add the flour and stir to incorporate until blended together. Chocolate Lava Cakes
  6. Add the whole eggs and egg yolks, stir to combine.

  9. When they are done allow them to cool for about 1 minute before eating. You can eat the chocolate lava cake right in the ramekin or turn them out onto a plate for serving.
