Ingredients

  • 2-15 ounce cans of chickpeas , reserve canning liquid separately
  • 1 large , ripe Haas avocado
  • 1-2 cloves of freshly minced garlic
  • tablespoon of plain sesame seeds , plus more if desired (on top)
  • a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (on top)
  • freshly chopped cilantro or parsley , to sprinkle on top
  • kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste
  • Suggested: fresh cut veggies , pita chips or pita bread for serving

Instructions

  1. Process the chickpeas, minced garlic and avocado, adding the chickpea liquid until the desired consistency is reached. You can mix in some kosher salt when you process the main ingredients if you want.
  2. Transfer into a serving bowl, sprinkle additional kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper, fresh chopped cilantro and sesame seeds. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy!
