Dragon Fruit Angel Food Cake

This Dragon Fruit Angel Food Cake recipe is a classic angle food recipe with a twist, it has dragon fruit powder infused into the batter, sprinkled on top, and served with fresh dragon fruit slices and dragon fruit simple syrup!

– 1 box angel food cake mix (we use Betty Crocker brand) – 1-1/3 cups water, room temperature – 2 teaspoons dragon fruit powder, divided

How to make Dragon Fruit Angel Food Cake ?

Preheat the oven to 325°F for a non-stick pan. Move the oven rack to the lowest position, for baking. You do not have to grease the pan.

In a large glass or metal mixing bowl, add the angel food cake mix, add the water and using a handheld electric mixer, mix on low for 30 seconds and then beat on medium for 1 minute.

Using a 1/4 (3 tablespoon) cookie scoop, add enough batter to cover the bottom of the pan. You can gently shake the cake pan to even out the cake layer.
