This Dragonfruit Soda (Pitaya Soda) has the light, sweet, and tart (similar to pear and kiwi) fruity taste of dragonfruit, using homemade dragonfruit simple syrup and seltzer water.
– 1/4 cups dragonfruit simple syrup – 3/4 cup seltzer water, or more, amount to taste – 1/2-1 cup ice cubes – honey or preferred sweetener, for the rim of the glass, amount to taste
Chill a glass for 5-10 minutes in the refrigerator. This is not required but it looks beautiful: Rim the glass with honey and then dragonfruit powder before constructing the drink.
Once the glass is chilled, add 1/4 homemade dragonfruit simple syrup, and ice, and finish it off with seltzer water; adjust flavors as needed, mix, and enjoy!
