- Pit composting Dig a hole outside and bury your leftovers instead of directly throwing them into the trash.

- Using a composting tumbler Make sure that you’re turning the leftovers or scraps properly every day so it gets enough oxygen to do some composting.

- Compost bin This is another useful way to compost your kitchen waste. If you have an extra bin lying around, you can set up your own at home.
