This Classic Homemade Tater Tot Casserole is made from scratch without the use of canned soup. It's creamy, comforting and a delicious, one-dish dinner, sure to be a family favorite!
– 8 ounces sliced or chopped baby Portobello mushrooms – 1 large onion, chopped (1-1/4 cups)
Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Grease a 13" x 9" x 2" inch casserole baking dish and set aside.
Brown the lean ground beef in a large skillet (pan) over medium-high heat until it is completely cooked.
Using a slotted spoon, remove the cooked lean ground beef into a bowl and set it aside.
