DELICIOUS DANDELION FRITTERS

This recipe features Dandelion Fritters made from foraged Dandelion Flowers dipped in a seasoned flour-cornmeal batter and deep-fried in a cast-iron skillet.

– Canola Oil  – Dandelion Flowers – All-Purpose Flour – Corn Flour

In a medium-large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, thyme, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Add egg and milk, and stir to combine.

Line a plate with paper towels and set aside (for draining the dandelion fritters when done). Fill a cast iron skillet (or use a deep fryer), with 1 inch or so of Canola oil. Heat to 375 degrees F.

Using tongs, dip the cleaned, dandelion flowers in the batter and coat completely.
