BY LIFE’S LITTLE SWEETS
Frozen Stuffed Dates are a healthy alternative to store-bought candy that you can make right at home with simple pantry ingredients!
Ingredients
– 5-6 Dates, pitted, halved – 2-3 tablespoons sunflower seed butter – Chocolate sauce (1/2 cup chocolate chip morsels + 1 tablespoon coconut oil)
Stuff the dates with sunflower seed butter: Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside. Cut open the dates and remove the pits; discard or compost the pits.
Melt the chocolate-coconut oil mixture: in a small bowl, add the chocolate chips and coconut oil, microwave on high for 30 seconds, and then stir, repeat 2 more times.
Finish assembling and freeze the stuffed dates: Dip the sunflower seed butter-stuffed dates into the melted chocolate mixture, nut butter side down. Place on the prepared lined baking sheet.
