BY LIFE’S LITTLE SWEETS
- 1 bunch of beets, washed, ends trimmed and sliced into 1/2-inch slices - 1 tablespoon (a drizzle) of regular olive oil - 1/2-1 teaspoon fine salt or amount to taste
Prepare the Beets: Wash the beets, cut the greens and the tails off. You can skin them but it's not required for this recipe. Slice the beets into 1/2-3/4-inch thick slices.
Lay the beet slices in a serving dish, spray them evenly, on both sides with regular olive oil and then sprinkle fine salt on them.
Cook the Beets: Preheat your grill on high (about 400 degrees F), lay the beet slices on the grill, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes.
After cooking them on one side, using tongs, flip them over and cook until tender. When they are done, remove them from the grill and place them on the serving tray. Enjoy!
