Macerated Triple Berry Topping is naturally sweet, does not require heat to make unless you want to serve it warm, which is oh-so-nice! It has a caramel flavor in the syrup because of the naturally sweet coconut sugar, along with organic maple syrup or honey.
– 6 ounces blackberries, washed and rinsed, see notes – 6 ounces raspberries, washed and rinsed – 6 ounces blueberries, washed and rinsed – 1/2 cup coconut sugar, see notes
Mix washed and rinsed berries together in a medium bowl, sprinkle the coconut sugar over them, and any additional optional ingredients.
Gently mix, until berries are evenly coated, cover, and refrigerate overnight or at least 2 hours.
When you remove the mixture from the refrigerator, gently stir the mixture to help dissolve the coconut sugar if it's not already dissolved.
