Perfect Sage Thyme Butter Whipped Potatoes are savory, full of flavor, and a favorite on the Holiday table. Enjoy these creamy, butter-infused, whipped Yukon Gold potatoes at your meal!
– 3 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, washed, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces – 1 tsp Kosher salt, for seasoning the water when cooking the potatoes – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 1 stick
BOILING POTATOES Fill a Dutch oven or large soup pot with water, sprinkle 1 tsp of Kosher salt in the water, and add washed and cut Yukon Gold potatoes in.
Bring to a boil and cook until tender. Once the water is at a boil, you can bring it down to a simmer.
You should be able to prick a piece with a fork and it should come easily out. When they are done, drain them in the sink in a large colander.
