This Heirloom Tomato Salad has fresh, ripe, heirloom, in-season tomatoes, a homemade sesame-soy rice vinaigrette dressing, and fresh, Thai basil.
– 1 large heirloom tomato, or more, washed, stem removed, and diced – 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil – 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil – 1 teaspoon toasted sesame rice vinegar
Make the dressing: Add the olive oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and soy sauce and season with fine salt and fresh, ground, black pepper. Whisk the ingredients until blended.
Add the prepared heirloom tomato to the serving dish, add the dressing and some fresh basil, and mix. Top and garnish with more basil.
