Hi Everyone, we are savoring the taste of summer-ripe heirloom tomatoes with this classic heirloom tomato salad with a twist of Asian flavors in the sesame-soy rice vinaigrette dressing and fresh Thai basil.
Ingredients
- 1 large heirloom tomato, or more, washed, stem removed, and diced
Sesame Soy Rice Vinaigrette
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame rice vinegar
- 1-3 low-sodium soy sauce
- fine salt, amount to taste
- fresh, ground black pepper, amount to taste

How to Make Heirloom Tomato Salad

Step 1
Make the dressing: Add the olive oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and soy sauce and season with fine salt and fresh, ground, black pepper. Whisk the ingredients until blended.
Step 2
Add the prepared heirloom tomato to the serving dish, add the dressing and some fresh basil, and mix. Top and garnish with more basil. Serve right away or chill and marinate for 30 minutes for a more intense flavor. Enjoy!
