This Broiled White Nectarines with Vanilla Whipped Cream recipe is the perfect Summer dessert with sweet, fresh, ripe white nectarines. It takes less than 20 minutes to come together! Be sure to check out all 7 #FoodieMamas Nectarine recipes below!

Hi Everyone, this Broiled White Nectarines with Vanilla Whipped Cream recipe:

#1. 4 Nectarines, or more if desired, washed, halved and pitted
#2. 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
#3. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
#4. Fresh squeezed juice of ½ lemon
#5. 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar or natural sugar substitute like honey or maple syrup (in the same amount)
#6. lemon zest to garnish for serving
#7. 1 recipe Vanilla Whipped Cream


#1. Preheat the oven on the broil setting.
#2. Arrange nectarine halves open-faced on a baking sheet (preferably with turned up sides).
#3. Melt coconut oil 15 seconds at a time in the microwave, combine lemon juice, vanilla extract and sugar until dissolved.
#4. Generously brush the nectarines with the sugar-oil mixture.
#5. Broil for 10 minutes, when done allow to cool or serve warm with Vanilla Whipped Cream.
⇒Tip: You can freeze the whipped cream ahead of time and scoop it out to get a nice contrast of cold and hot. Enjoy!

This dessert is so perfect and delicious, it's really a nice blend of flavors and temperatures to make a delightful Summer dessert without a lot of prep or ingredients.

i have some very meh nectarines from my tree (they're a little firm, a little bland, a little tart) that need to get cooked, and this sounds like such a good way to do it! i'm also a sucker for anything fruit and cream related, so there's that (:
