Kitchen Tools
Here’s a list of helpful kitchen tools you’ll need for this brownie recipe:
- 9-inch x 13-inch brownie pan – the exact one that I use is affiliate linked in the recipe card.
- parchment paper – tip for lining the brownie pan: to get the parchment paper to fit, cut a piece a little larger than the brownie pan, crinkle it up underwater, spread it into the shape of the pan and it will conform to the shape better than if it were dry and uncrinkled.
- measuring spoons & cups
- 2-cup wet measure – I like to mix the wet ingredients in this and then add it to the dry ingredients
- mixing bowl(s)
- large balloon whisk
- wooden spoon, optional
- baking spatula – for getting all the batter out of the mixing bowl and into the parchment-lined brownie pan
- offset spatula – for spreading the batter in the parchment-lined brownie pan
- your oven, of course!
Recipe Notes
- For “Cake-Like” brownies”: Use 1-3/4 cups of flour instead of 1 cup

Pumpkin Spice Brownies Recipe
These Pumpkin Spice Brownies are classic, homemade, fudgy, brownie bars that have just the right amount of aromatic, warming, Pumpkin Spice in and on them. Cozy up with a hot cup of coffee or tea and these perfectly delicious brownies! (only 8 ingredients!)
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 1 cup unbleached, all-purpose flour, see recipe notes for "cake-like" brownies
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice mixture
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 cups granulated white sugar
Wet Ingredients:
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup Canola oil
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
For Topping:
- 1-2 teaspoons more pumpkin spice mixture
Instructions
- Preparation: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Line a brownie pan with parchment paper.
- Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add 1-3/4 cups of unbleached, all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice mixture, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 2 cups organic cane sugar - whisk it all together.
- Mix the wet ingredients (you can also just add to the mixing bowl if you don't want to make another dirty dish): In a 2-cup wet measure, add the 5 large eggs, 1 cup Canola oil, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
- Mix the batter: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix together until combined.
- Bake: Using a baking spatula, add all of the batters to the prepped brownie pan and bake in your preheated oven for 20-23 minutes. When it's done, using a toothpick or knife, you can insert it into the center and it should come out clean. This is essential, allow the brownies, to cool on a trivet on the counter until room temperature before slicing - this helps the brownies set up. When they are cool, using both hands, take the brownies out of the pan (grabbing by the parchment paper), place them on a cutting board, sprinkle evenly with more pumpkin spice mixture, slice them into bars, and enjoy your pumpkin spice brownies!
Notes
