Easy Pecan Pie Recipe
This Easy Pecan Pie Recipe is a sweet, delicious, classic pie recipe - perfect for the Thanksgiving table or any dessert table. You can take a shortcut using a pre-made, deep-dish pie crust and enjoy a sweet homemade pie filling. It goes great with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
Ingredients
- 9 inch deep dish frozen pie crust, thawed (take out of the freezer 1/2 hour before baking)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 2/3 cup granulated white sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups halved pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 large eggs, corn syrup, granulated white sugar, unsalted butter, and pure vanilla extract. Using a handheld mixer on a low setting, mix well (alternately, you can mix with a wooden spoon or baking spatula).
- Add 2 cups halved pecans to the mixture and mix until combined.
- Pour mixture into the deep dish pie crust.
- Make a foil tent to prevent the crust from browning too fast. Bake for 25 minutes and remove the foil, then bake for another 20-25 minutes. When it's done a knife can be inserted into the middle and should come out clean.
- When it's done baking, allow the pie to cool on a rack. Refrigerate after 2 hours. Enjoy warm or cold. To get defined slices, refrigerate to allow the pie to firm up.
