Hi Everyone, are we cereal-treat enthusiasts? Guilty as charged!
These Fruity Pebbles Treats are so fun and incredibly easy to make.
My kids and I love making different kinds of marshmallows and cereal treats and we realized we had not made Fruity Pebbles Treats.
We think these would be perfect to make for a party, like a birthday party because they are so festive and colorful.

Ingredients
Here are the ingredients for this recipe:
- 3 tablespoons salted butter, You can substitute the same amount of unsalted butter if you don’t have salted butter
- 4-6 cups mini marshmallows, you can substitute 1 package (10 ounce or 40 marshmallows) of jet-puffed marshmallows, use fresh marshmallows for best results, 1 (7 ounces) jar of marshmallow creme can be substituted – use 4 cups marshmallows for “crisp” treats and add 1-2 cups marshmallows more for more chewy treats – we used 5 cups in the photos
- 6 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal or store generic brand, like “Scrunchy Crispy Colors” (from Shoprite)

- Prep the pan: Place wax or parchment paper in the 8x8x2 or 9x9x2 pan and clip the edges with binder clips or clothespins so it doesn’t move.
- Make the rice cereal treats: In a large pot over the stove, on low heat, heat the butter until melted, add the marshmallows (add 1-2 cups extra for chewier bars), and stir slowly until melted, make sure it’s evenly mixed and then add the fruity pebbles cereal and mix until combined. Spread them in the prepped pan making sure not to press down too hard so that they don’t get compact. Allow them to cool before slicing them into squares. When they are cool, cut them into 12 squares (or you can do a different size if you prefer).
Recipe Notes
- Storage: You should eat them right away but you can store them in an air-tight container, at room temperature for up to 2 days.
