Twisted Bacon
Hi Everyone, it’s so simple, twist the bacon slices and bake them – genius!
It makes a bacon “stick” that is irresistible, making it perfect for an appetizer at a game day or holiday gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 pound sliced bacon
Kitchen Tools
- parchment paper
- paper towels
- rimmed baking sheet
- wire baking rack (that fits in the rimmed baking sheet)
- tongs
- a large plate
- serving dish
- lidded jar, if saving the bacon fat
How to Make Twisted Bacon
Step 1
Prepare a rimmed baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and placing a wire baking rack on top. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)
Step 2
Twist each slice of bacon and evenly space the pieces on the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. After 20 minutes, take the baking sheet out and twist the bacon more and arrange the bacon again, placing them evenly on the baking sheet. Bake an additional 20 minutes or until desired crispiness is reached. When the bacon is done take it out of the oven and place the bacon on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb the excess oil. Optionally, you can save the extra bacon grease in the backing sheet in a jar for cooking.
