Here are 5 Tips to Keep the House Tidy with a Child and how it involves snack time with Gerber® Lil’ BeaniesTM!

All it takes is a few minutes and those neatly tucked away toys are broadcast across the house.

I have come up with 5 Tips to Keep the House Tidy with a Child from my experience with my toddler daughter.
She often wants to help me with whatever I am doing and I want to let you know that you can accomplish housework with a small child!
Keeping the house tidy can be something you can block a huge chunk of time off to do or just pick off one more more tasks at a time.
If you are folding laundry, give your child something easy like socks or dish towels in a small pile that they can "practice" folding while you fold the larger, more cumbersome garments.
Chances are they will not fold the items perfectly which is OKAY.
They are learning how to participate and help out.
After you are done with everything else, you can sit with them and help them finish the small pile of items they are working on.
If you are putting away toys, ask your child if they know where each toy goes like a quiz and have them show you.
If you are doing some light-duty dusting, give your child a baby wipe or a water-moistened cloth and demonstrate how to dust a surface. Your child may imitate you or they might get focused on something else which is okay. They are still learning and taking in everything. Later on, if you do this again on a regular basis, your child will remember or eventually catch on - repetition is key!
⇒ If your child really isn't interested in helping you, you can always set up a puzzle, have them do coloring, look at a book or an activity near you that they are more interested in.
Save any heavy-duty cleaning for when they are napping, at daycare, school or if someone trusted is watching them.
If you have a little wagon or basket, you can put the folded laundry into that and have your child pull or carry - as long as it's not too heavy! If that's too much, start out by giving them 1 set of socks or 1 folded item to put away.
Slowly walk through the steps to show your child where things go in your house.
As with any activity involving children, it is important to take a break after a little while to reset and refocus.
While you are sitting with your child for snack time, you can enjoy something for yourself and talk to your child about the different things you did and what you need to do next.
It's so important to keep things light, happy and fun when keeping things tidy with your child.
You do not want them to have a negative experience and want your child to want to help you out.
I suggest playing music you both can listen to while you work.
Listening to music has a relaxing effect on children and keeps the mood light.
Keep spurts of work short & time yourself with an alarm on your phone.
This way you can get more accomplished.
You can also make a list of what you want to accomplish ahead of time and just tick things off as you get them done and show the list to your child too.
⇒ Remember done is better than perfect!
