Hi Everyone, during the holidays or anytime you are making a custard pie (for example, pumpkin pie) or with a no-bake pie (for example, a pudding pie).

Docking vs. Pie Weights – what method should I use?
Personally, I do both, however, technically you should be able to do either docking (pricking the bottom in several places with a fork to allow steam to escape) or pie weights (for example, dried beans or ceramic weights).

How to Blind Bake Pie Crust

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Add parchment paper over the finished pie crust and pie weights. Bake 12-15 minutes until the edges are just golden.
