Here are 5 Tips on How to Get Your Car Road Trip Ready! Check out how Walmart Automotive Care Center is a part of how I get my car ready to go on a road trip.

Gearing up to visit family for the upcoming Holidays?
I am already doing just that with a pre-Thanksgiving visit to my family & friends up in NH.
We usually see Eric's family on Thanksgiving and Christmas and then we see my family around those holidays, before and after.

It's important to me to make sure I get those visits in whenever I can fit them in because I want my daughter to be able to see my side of the family too as she grows up.
These trips are fun mother-daughter bonding trips and sometimes Eric comes too, depending on his work schedule.
I am sharing some 5 Tips on How to Get Your Car Road Trip Ready since it's something I do quite frequently and it's easier than you think!
It's really nice to be able to hand off some of the responsibility of getting ready for a road trip off to the experts at Walmart Automotive Care Center.

FYI - Pennzoil® Platinum Full Synthetic is on Rollback ($49.88 Rollback to $44.88) through December 27, 2016!
I learned that Walmart Automotive Care Centers in the following states are now able to benefit from oil changes with Pennzoil® Platinum Full Synthetic: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Here are 5 tips on How to Get Your Car Road Trip Ready:
#1 - Wash the Car
You can either wash it yourself or go to a car wash.
You can get this done before the car trip or after you get to your destination.
Sometimes, when it's rainy or poor driving conditions, I will just hold off on getting the car washed until I reach my destination.
If your car is already clean, then I might not get my car washed until after the whole road trip.
At Walmart, they have an extensive selection of items for car care.
I picked up a sponge for future car washes while I was there.

#2 - Change Oil at Walmart Automotive Care Center
It couldn't be easier to hand off some of the responsibility to the experts at Walmart Automotive Care Center.
It's a major time-saver and gives me peace of mind before heading out on a road trip to know someone else has checked over my car to make sure everything is all set.

#3 - Check all Fluid Levels
Now, this is something that will be done at the Walmart Auto Center when you get your car's oil changed there before your road trip but it's also important to keep an eye on things and observe throughout your road trip.
After you reach your destination and after you return home, it's a good idea to go over the fluid levels in your car to make sure everything is okay.
This is just apart of the maintenance of your car.
For me, often, it's the windshield washer fluid that will always need topping off besides filling the gas tank, of course.

#4 - Clean out the Car
It's a good idea to make sure you have everything you need and get rid of anything you do not need in your car.
Sometimes, I have found things that I thought I lost during a car clean out.
It's a really good idea to do this regularly.

#5 - Maintain a Clean Car
Bring a container or trash bag(s) to put trash in during the trip so your car doesn't get overloaded and messy along the way.
This way, you can maintain a neat car, keeping you stress-free, no matter what you encounter along the way.

I hope you enjoyed these tips on How to Get Your Car Road Trip Ready and it inspires you to get ready for your next road trip, safe travels!
