Hey friends! Do you have school-age children starting school for the first time or going back-to-school?
We certainly do in our household with our little one who will be attending school for the first time this Fall.
I put together some Tips for Packing a School Lunch in preparation for this momentous event and am sharing them along with a great way to earn some free Scholastic books as well!
In our household, we love reading with our daughter and have since she was very young (as shown in the top photo).
Reading is so important and a way to bond together on a daily basis as well as provide a way for our daughter to learn new things and explore on her own.
We recently packed up her crib which made room in her bedroom for a "cozy corner" with all her stuffed animals.
This is where we will be curling up to read with her when we get our new Scholastic Books!
Olympic Games is later this Summer and Team USA sponsors created a Walmart exclusive program where if you buy 1 item = you get 1 book.
Here is how your child can start school like a champion:

Earn a free Scholastic book by purchasing any of the over 100 participating Coca-Cola, HERSHEY'S, Kellogg’s, or The J.M. Smucker company product at Walmart between 6/29/16 – 9/30/16 (1 item = 1 book). (Please note that this is a Walmart-exclusive program)
#1. Buy any participating Coca-Cola, HERSHEY'S, Kellogg's, or The J.M. Smucker company product at Walmart between 6/29/16 and 9/30/16. For a full list of participating products

#2. Join or log in to Kellogg's Family Rewards.
#3. Upload your receipt within 30 days of purchase.
#4. You can choose or donate your free book.

#1. Stock up on individually-sized portions so you can put together a lunch fast. You know there will be mornings when you didn't have time to prepare the night before and this way you can put together a lunch your child will like in a short amount of time.
#2. Use a cold pack to keep food items, like juice boxes, cool for lunch time.
#3. Use an insulated lunch tote with a cold pack to keep food items cold.

#4. Make your own individual portions ahead of time, using snack baggies, for example, you can include cereal for your child to snack on.
#5. Plan! Pack your child's lunch the night before or better yet, a week ahead with dry goods like cereal.
#6. You can put a treat or surprise in their lunch box.
