Nutella Muddy Buddies are quick to prepare, addicting to eat, and feeds a crowd. Make this delicious twist on classic party food for your next gathering or yourself!

Updated 2/15/2018- Hi Everyone, I recently updated the photos on this post and republished it. I removed the old photos and put the new photos in it. I originally posted this recipe October 30th, 2015. Most of the rest of copy on this post is the same. Enjoy!
I played soccer for 9 years, from 4th grade through senior year in high school and my first experience with Muddy Buddies (also called, "Puppy Chow") was from sampling the snacks moms would bring to share with the team after practice or a game.

I came up with this Nutella version to decorate my husband Eric's birthday cake since he loves cereal and we both love Nutella.

Nutella and chocolate lovers rejoice!
I include more chocolate and Nutella to give more clumps of chocolate goodness.
This recipe uses a whole box of cereal and yields enough to feed a crowd or a hungry soccer team!

If you make “Nutella Muddy Buddies” and post a picture on social media, be sure to #lifeslittlesweets and link back to the post, thank you in advance!

I know you will love this fun, easy recipe!

Nutella: Alternately, you can do ¼ cup Nutella and ¼ cup peanut butter for a more salty-sweet flavor

Finally! A muddy buddy recipe without peanut butter! I'm always so tempted to grab a big handful of muddy buddy when someone brings it to a function, but have to stop myself on account of, you know, peanuts sending me into casual anaphylaxis. Awesome recipe!
Sara says
Hi Sarah, yes, I wanted to provide an alternate muddy buddy recipe but something equally as tasty, thank you for visiting!

Looks like a big mess of awesome. Great one Sara!
Sara says
Hi Derek, yes, this can be messy, I would suggest making sure there's enough butter or coconut oil in the mixture to ensure smoothness and using a big enough bowl and a good baking spatula, a.k.a, the right equipment, thank you for visiting! 🙂
