DIY Mason Jar Soap Dispenser and Spring Cleaning Tips with Lemi-Shine
It is still rainy and cool this Spring in New Jersey with only a few glimpses of sun here and there. This much rainy weather equates to a lot of time spent inside the house where we come face to face with messy situations that require Springtime cleaning. What is the cause of all this mess? The results of activities related to me, my husband, my toddler daughter, our 2 dogs Chloe and Cayli and general, Springtime occurrences.
Here's "Chloe", our cute, Miniature Poodle and a partial contributor to our general home mess.
What might be some of these "general Springtime occurrences"? We live in the country and every Springtime, small ants start being active, for example, I dropped a piece of watermelon outside our door, on the way to the compost pile and a short time later there was an ant-zombie apocalypse happening. All the more reason to be vigilant with cleaning surfaces, not leaving food out and keeping things tidy.

This is my favorite of all the Lemi Shine products I was sent! I do a lot of dishes here at our house because we *currently* do not have a dishwasher (gasp!) and I am a food blogger , not to mention I cook most of our family meals from scratch. I love the light, citrus scent and it is gentle on my hands 🙂 Check out the DIY Mason Jar Soap Dispenser that I share below that uses the Lemi Shine Concentrated Dish Soap.

For both theLemi Shine Glass + Surface Cleaner and the Lemi Shine Shower + Tile Cleaner, I was very impressed that there was not any fumes that I could detect and I have enjoyed using them in my home. Since I have become a mom, I am not fond of cleaning products with fumes that smell like chemicals. I just don't like having chemicals and fumes around myself or my toddler daughter. I feel like that made me less likely to do cleaning, not just because I get distracted easily by the needs of my daughter but also because I worry about chemical exposure. I do my best to keep our house tidy by organizing but have been feeling like the "cleaning" part was lacking because of my reluctance to be exposed to fumes. a clean mason jar - I used a standard pasta sauce jar because that is what I had on hand but you can also find different color mason jars at the craft store
Lemi ShineDish Soap - the whole bottle fits into a standard pasta sauce mason jar
A pump that fits the mason jar - these are sold online or in your local craft store
