Try out these Edible Christmas Trees to make your holiday party a little more fun!
Charcuterie Christmas Trees
One of my favorite holiday appetizers is a Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board. They’re simple to make and only require a few different ingredients. Another great part about these boards is that they’re fully customizable to what your and your family like.
For the ultimate Food-Themed Christmas Tree Board, you will need to pick out a few different cheeses, meats, veggies/fruits, and spreads. I like to use cheddar and fresh mozzarella balls. Then add various types of meat like salami, prosciutto, and summer sausage. To add some color to your board, try adding cherry tomatoes, pickles, and different kinds of grapes and berries. Lastly, I like to add a little side of mustard, jam, and all of your favorite crackers, pretzels, and bread.Â
To make your Charcuterie board, you will first need to assemble your ingredients and pair things that go together. Be sure to wash your fruits and veggies before they go on your platter. I like to add my guests’ favorites and make their rows a little bit thicker. After assembling, you’ll start to decorate. This is where you can cut your cheeses into different shapes and twirl meat into flowers. This recipe option is very flexible, and you can really make it your own.
Brownie Christmas Trees
Christmas Tree Brownies are a staple for Christmas parties and holiday get-togethers. These are one of my go-to’s for desserts because they’re easy to make and travel with, and everybody loves a good chocolate brownie.
Decorating brownies is a great game or activity for fun family parties and even school celebrations. Gather all of the decorating items like sprinkles, icing, etc., and then try to make the best brownie Christmas tree possible!
To make these brownies, make the brownies as directed on the box, or you can make your favorite homemade brownies. You will then simply cut the brownies into a triangle, just like a tree. Then you start decorating and making them your own! When you’re done with decorations, you can use either a pretzel stick or a piece of candy cane.Â
Vegetable Platter Christmas Trees
Who knew making a vegetable tray could be so much fun? Gather your broccoli and any of your other favorite raw vegetables. To make it super simple, we like to use carrots and cherry tomatoes.
To make this easy veggie platter, you will need to start by forming your broccoli florets into a Christmas tree shape. Next, you will add in your fresh veggies like they are ornaments or tinsel. Lastly, I like to put carrots, sliced peppers, or pretzel sticks at the bottom to mimic a tree trunk.Â
Don’t forget to add a side of sauce! I like to include ranch and hummus on the side for dipping.
Christmas Tree Cupcakes
My family devours these cupcakes all holiday season. This is a great recipe idea if you want to let your kiddos join in on the baking fun.
There are many different options when it comes to Edible Christmas Trees Cupcakes. You can use any cake flavor that you want, and we prefer chocolate. You can also switch up your cupcakes by adding different colors of icing for the trees and using sprinkles as ornaments. You can even top them with a dusting of powdered sugar to give them a snowy effect.
To make Christmas Tree Cupcakes, you can either use homemade cupcakes or cupcakes out of a box; either is okay. After the cupcakes are cool, it’s time to start decorating. You will use a piping bag with a large star tip to pipe your frosting onto your cupcakes in a circular motion until your icing comes to a point and looks like a tree. Then, you can add all of your favorite candies and sprinkles.
