This 2-ingredient, Chili Crisp Mayonnaise recipe can be used as a sauce, dip, dressing, marinade, or spread. It's rich, creamy, tasty, spicy, and incredibly delicious!
Hi Everyone, This Chili Crisp Mayonnaise is versatile and you can control the amount of heat by the amount of chili crisp that you use.
The flavor of this dip recipe is similar to buffalo dip but unique on its own.
According to Wikipedia:
Chili crisp or chile crisp is a type of hot sauce, originating from Chinese cuisine, made with fried chili pepper and other aromatics infused in oil, sometimes with other ingredients. Multiple homemade and restaurant-original versions exist across China.
and it goes on to say:
In 1997, Chinese restaurateur Tao Huabi began the first commercial production of chili crisp in Guizhou under the Lao Gan Ma brand, which quickly became popular and eventually became a Chinese pantry staple. It was not widely known internationally until the late 2010s and became particularly popular in the US during the coronavirus pandemic. The New York Times called it "a quarantine cooking need". The condiment has a fan base often described as "cult-like".
Chili Crisp is a fairly new condiment!
We love it here and put it in pretty much anything that can benefit from its flavor and heat.
Depending on the brand, it can vary quite a bit. We like the "Fly by Jing" brand.
People even put Chili Crisp on vanilla ice cream!
Chili Crisp is the little bit of "umami" that we all need!

Add the mayonnaise to a mixing bowl, add the desired amount of chili crisp and stir with a small whisk.
