Kitchen Renovation Progress
As I promised on previous posts and social media, I am sharing some of our kitchen renovation progress 🙂
Our kitchen renovation has been a long haul because we want to do it all ourselves and “listen” to our home to help determine how we will eventually have our kitchen.
Not to mention, that resourcefully renovating this way saves us money that would have been spent hiring other people to do what we are capable of doing ourselves.
Renovating is all about problem-solving and we have discovered that it takes time to see what problems we have to solve in our home space.
It’s good not to be in a rush to have a complete kitchen or a perfect kitchen.
Why rush anyway?
Who cares?
Being patient has its rewards in that the end result will be our “perfect” kitchen.
Working this way takes a lot of patience, being okay with things not looking perfect, trial & error but the goal will be to have a space that is uniquely ours.
We have made a lot of messes with all the start and stopping of the demolition of our kitchen and this time around we had the Bona mop & products to help us with the cleanup.
By the way, it is Holiday time, Thanksgiving has just passed but Christmas is looming near, and honestly, it makes my life easier when the house is clean during this busy time.
Cleaning Up for the Holidays with Bona
As we inch day-by-day towards the holidays, I’ve been trying to keep the house tidy, should we have anyone over.
Keeping the house clean, keeps things sane when every other part of our lives is busy.
I also feel like I can work from home better when my surroundings are clean.
The floors are always a major pain point for me.
In my mind, I want them to be clean, eat-off-the-floor clean.
Let me tell you, with myself, a hubby, a toddler, 2 dogs, and all of our endless house projects, it is NEVER the case.
This afternoon, however, I was able to bring about that rare, perfection of having clean floors to reality.
It’s called MICROFIBER and let me tell you, it’s the way to go if you have a dream like mine to get those floors clean. (Thanks Bona!)

Video of our Kitchen Renovation Progress
I have included video footage from my Snapchat of our most recent kitchen demolition.
As you will see in the video, our kitchen is a work in progress.
My husband Eric is doing the demo.
I later helped with the linoleum floor removal.
Our Mid-Century Modern house was built in the 1950s and we are trying to stay true to that era by keeping to our modern aesthetic and the practical needs of how we use our kitchen space.
This is but one part of the many parts that is our kitchen renovation and I look forward to sharing more with you!
How do you get your floors clean?

Hi Sara 🙂
Indeed a great product !!
My husband and I too got our kitchen and living room remodeled and we had to go through the demolition process. But thankfully my husband picked on a great demolition company that offered clean out and roll-off services too. Their staff was so professional and they cleaned up every bit of waste left after demolition 🙂
