- 4 teaspoons chicken bouillion (we use low-sodium, chicken, Better than Bouillon brand)
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon of kosher salt, or amount to taste
- ½ teaspoon fresh, ground black pepper, or amount to taste
- ½ head of green or Napa cabbage - save the rest for another recipe!
- 1 (14.5 ounces) can of Italian-style stewed tomatoes, drained and broken apart

Instructions
Stovetop Method
- Step 1: In a large soup pot or Dutch oven, add the olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped onions over medium heat. Cook and stir until the garlic and onions are transparent. (2-5 minutes)
- Step 2: Add the carrots, celery, chopped cabbage, and kosher salt, and saute the veggies until they are slightly browned for flavor.
- Step 3: Add the water, bouillon, tomatoes and stir until combined. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 15-30 minutes. Stir every so often.
- Step 4: When the soup is done, serve and enjoy!
