I made the almond butter rice treats exactly as written. The marshmallow mixture was so stiff I could barely stir in three fourths of the rice krispies required, making for a very dense & chewy bar. What happened & how do I avoid that in the future?

Hello Lisa, I asked Carly, who wrote this guest post and she said, "The only thing I can think of is that the mixture didn't completely melt. Also, this is a stiffer bar than your normal Rice Krispie due to the almond butter. If you are looking for a less dense bar you can put in half the amount of almond butter or save it for a drizzle on top." Hope that sheds some light on it! Thanks for asking your question!
