This Butterfly Pea Flower Gin Mule cocktail is exciting and tasty if you are looking for a drink that will impress. Its color-changing effects from the butterfly pea flower, lime, and ginger beer make it beautiful to serve. It perfectly infuses in gin within just 2 hours. I love making mules with gin in the wintertime because gin has such a "holiday" taste from the juniper berries it's made with.

I wanted to share with you this cocktail because it is so fun to make. Butterfly pea flowers not only look good but are good for you.
They are filled with antioxidants, so I decided to take advantage of that by infusing the gin used in this cocktail with it.
Then this is where the fun comes in...when acid is added to this ingredient, it goes from blue to purple in color.
Using it in a mule cocktail I figured would work great due to it already having lime juice (an acid) in it.
Then to make it even prettier, you can add Flower Ice Cubes for garnish.
This recipe is easy, so tasty, and great if you are looking for a presentation. We drink with our eyes first!

These ice cubes can be used for any cold drink so make a bunch and leave them in your freezer.

1. Infuse gin with butterfly pea flowers by letting the flowers soak in gin for about 2 hours. The gin will turn a dark blue color once it is ready. Remove the flower once desired color is accomplished.
2. To mix put 1 shot glass full (1.5oz) of gin into a mason jar or cup of choice, add lime juice, and ginger beer
3. Stir and taste!
4. Add ice or flower ice cubes to keep chilled. For a flower ice cube recipe to make in advance use our recipe here.
