Hi Everyone, this delicious, sweet, Cocoa Cinnamon French Toast recipe is infused with cinnamon, vanilla, and cocoa flavor.
Ingredients

Here is a list of ingredients to make this recipe:
- 1-3 tablespoons unsalted butter, for frying
- 13-15 pieces of regular white sandwich bread (the size of the bread will affect how many pieces you can make)
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 ground nutmeg
- 1/8 (a pinch) of Kosher salt or sea salt or Himalayan pink salt (to counteract the sweetness), optional
- topping: Cocoa cinnamon-sugar mixture, amount to taste, for serving
Optional Toppings
- Maple syrup, honey, or other syrups, for serving, amount to taste
- confectioner’s sugar, berries, whipped cream, amount to taste

- 1 bag of granulated white sugar
- 1 bottle of ground cinnamon
- 1 bottle of ground nutmeg or whole nutmeg (use a Microplane to grind it)
- box of salt (only a pinch is needed)
- 1 container of unsweetened cocoa powder – to make cocoa cinnamon-sugar mixture
- 1 bottle of maple syrup or syrup of choice – optional
- 1 bag of confectioner’s sugar (powdered sugar) – optional

How to Make Cocoa Cinnamon French Toast
Step 1
Add butter to a skillet and heat over low-medium heat and melt the butter.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the batter ingredients (milk, cinnamon, cocoa powder, nutmeg, eggs, sugar & vanilla extract, and optional pinch of Kosher salt) until combined.
Step 3
Dip each slice in the batter, briefly, turn over and place on the heated skillet, turn up the heat to medium heat. Cook 3-4 minutes on each side and then transfer to a plate. Repeat with the remaining slices and adjust the heat, if it gets too hot. Keep your whisk handy to re-combine the ingredients between slices, if needed.
Step 4
Before serving, add cocoa-cinnamon sugar mixture and optionally, your favorite toppings and enjoy!
