Lemon Dijon Dressing
I rarely buy pre-made salad dressing anymore because making salad dressing in a mason jar is so easy with ingredients that I always have on hand. It’s nice to know you are having a dressing that doesn’t have any added preservatives, added sugar or who knows what else in it! Plus, it’s easy, fresh and flavorful to boot and who doesn’t love shaking a mason jar?
When preparing a recipe with a few simple ingredients, making sure the ingredients that you use are the best you can find is important, it shows up in the flavor and that’s a difference you can taste. For this recipe, I used Botticelli Extra Virgin Olive Oil and it has a fresh, clear, olive flavor that is just perfect for a dressing.

This Lemon Dijon Dressing is versatile because it can also be used as a marinade for veggies, meat or fish. For extra virgin olive oil stick to temperatures 200°F-325°F or below. If you need to cook above 200°F-325°F, switch out the EVOO for light olive oil that will hold up in higher temps. (see this helpful guide on oil smoke points for reference).
I have used this for chicken and fish with success. It has saved me many a time by being a weeknight marinade when I have been at a loss at what to make and then I can make more for a dressing to serve with salad in the same meal. Now, I would say this Lemon Dijon Dressing is simple hack that can give a lot of value for little effort!
Below is a collage start to finish on the process of making Lemon Dijon Dressing – it’s so easy! And easy to customize with other flavors should you wish to modify.
