Hi Everyone, everyone needs a basic, delicious casserole recipe that you can use for any morning, holiday or not, and this Breakfast Casserole recipe, has few ingredients and is simple to put together, baked right in your oven.
Ingredients
- 1 can (8 rolls) crescent rolls
- 1 pound pork sausage, or the same amount of preferred sausage
- 6 large eggs, beaten
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (1 cup sharp cheddar and 1 cup Monterey jack cheese)
- chives or green onion, sliced, as a garnish for serving

Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 can (8 rolls) crescent rolls
- 1 pound pork sausage, or the same amount of preferred sausage
- 6 large eggs, beaten

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 °F. Grease a 9x13-inch oven-safe baking dish. Brown the pork sausage in a cast-iron skillet, and drain the grease.
- Line the bottom of the 9x13-inch pan with the crescent rolls. Pinch the seams together to make 1 large, solid sheet. Add the browned sausage in an even layer. Add the beaten eggs, poured in an even layer. Sprinkle the diced bell pepper over the egg layer. Sprinkle the cheese evenly as the top layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. When it is done, take it out and sprinkle it with chopped chives or green onion (scallions). Cut into 12 servings, enjoy!
Notes
- Storage: You can store any leftovers for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
- For Reheating: Cover and microwave it or place it in your oven (350 degrees F for about 15 minutes or until the center is warm.
