Hi Everyone, using oat milk in a latte recipe is a delicious option!
We use wildflower honey as a sweetener but you can leave it plain or use another sweetener of choice, for example, agave syrup, maple syrup, granulated white sugar – let me know your favorite sweetener in the comments below.

Ingredients
- freshly brewed hot, black espresso, amount to taste
- 1/4 cup oat milk, amount to taste
- sweetener of choice – we used wildflower honey in the photos of this post, for a vegan option you can use maple syrup, agave syrup, granulated white sugar or other sweetener
- cinnamon-sugar mixture, for dusting the top, before serving

Instructions
- Pour the hot, freshly brewed espresso into a heat-safe mug. In a separate, milk frothing container, heat and froth the milk.
- If you are using homemade oat milk, as I do in this post, it will not get bubbly like store-bought oat milk. Pour the hot, steamed oat milk into the espresso and enjoy!

I blame Starbucks for ruining the Italian drink language. “Latte” just means plain milk (compare “leche” or “lait” in Spanish and French, respectively), no espresso, so “oat milk latte” literally translates to “oat milk milk” haha. If you have to name this drink using English and Italian, a more accurate name would be “Oat Caffè Latte” (“café” is the spelling in other languages, not Italian). Hope this helps! I had an iced oat caffè latte today! It was so good!
